Tumble Textures Tips

At Tumble Textures, we want your ponytail to stay just as stunning as the first day you wear it. Because our products are made with 100% virgin human hair, proper care will keep them soft, bouncy, and performance-ready for every routine.
  • Moisturize Regularly
Lightly spritz with a leave-in conditioner + water mix, or use a water-based moisturizer to define curls and prevent frizz.
  • Gentle Detangling
Detangle when damp using fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Start at the ends and work upward—never detangle dry or matted hair.
  • Wash & Condition Carefully
Wash every 2–3 weeks with sulfate-free shampoo. Deep condition with a rich moisturizer and rinse with cool water to lock in hydration.
  • Define the Curls
Apply curl cream or mousse while damp, then scrunch gently.  A light hair gel or other styling products may be used. A denman brush, or similar, creates instant, defined curls. Air dry or diffuse on low heat.
  • Shrinkage & Stretching Curls                                                                                                   Shrinkage is a natural sign of healthy textured hair, especially with tighter curl patterns. Your ponytail may appear shorter as curls spring up when dry. To elongate and stretch curls, try gentle methods like braiding, twisting, banding, or lightly blow-drying on a cool setting with a diffuser. These techniques reduce shrinkage while maintaining curl definition and bounce.
  • Minimize Heat Use
Limit flat irons, blow-dryers, and curling wands. Always use a heat protectant if styling with heat.
  • Storage Tips
Store in a satin or silk bag when not in use. Loosely twist or braid before storing to preserve curls.
  • Night Routine
Wrap with a satin scarf or use a satin pillowcase to reduce friction. Lightly braid or twist before bed to protect the curl pattern.
  • Avoid Heavy Products
Skip heavy butters, silicones, and thick oils. Use lightweight oils like argan or jojoba for shine and softness. Heavy gels may cause buildup and/or hard curls.
  • Refresh Between Washes
Mist lightly with water or a leave-in mix, then finger-comb or scrunch. Use a curl refresher spray for added bounce. A denman brush, or similar, may be used for defining curls.
