What are Tumble Textures ponytails made of?
All of our ponies are made from 100% human hair for a natural look, soft feel, and styling versatility. You can wash, condition,
color, and heat-style them — just like your own hair!
Does the hair shed or tangle?
Minimal shedding is normal, especially since the hair tracks are cut. With proper care, shedding should not be excessive. For curly textures, a small amount of tangling may occur, but this is expected and can be easily managed.
What if my ponytail sheds too much?
Some shedding is normal. If you experience excessive shedding within the first 3 months of purchase, please email us at support@tumbletextures.com so we can assist you.
Why does my ponytail look shorter, and how can I make it appear longer?
Shrinkage is a natural effect of healthy textured hair where curls tighten and spring up once dry. To elongate and stretch curls, try gentle methods such as braiding, twisting, banding, or lightly blow-drying with a diffuser on a cool setting.
Can I use heat tools?
Yes! Our Polished Straight ponytails feature a natural body wave texture, designed to hold curls beautifully! Always use a heat protectant and keep tools at safe temperatures:
- Straight/Wavy → 250–350°F
- Kinky Curly → 300–400°F
- Color-Treated → 300–320°F
⚠️ Avoid temps over 400°F to prevent damage.
How do I secure my ponytail?
Our ponytails come with combs and attached elastics for easy installation. For extra hold, use:
- Zip Tie Method: Slide zip ties under the bun, insert combs, tighten drawstring, and pin.
- Sewing Method: Stitch ponytail netting to the bun base for a seamless, durable hold.
Does bun size matter?
No! Our standard 5" x 5" net fits both small and large buns. For pigtails, we use a 3" x 3" net.
How long will my ponytail last?
With proper care, your ponytail can last 1–2 years. Gently detangle after each use, store in its box, and keep curly textures moisturized.
How do I choose the right length?

- Younger athletes (ages 3–10): 12”–14”
- Older athletes/teens: 16”–18” for a fuller look
How do I choose the right texture?
Think about the look you want and how you’ll be wearing your ponytail. Match your ponytail texture to your natural hair or the style you’ll be competing or performing in, so it blends seamlessly.
How do I choose the right color?
We offer popular shades like Rich Medium Brown, Chestnut Brown, Light Ash Brown, Natural Black, Honey Blonde, and Light Blonde. A close shade creates a natural, seamless look — exact match isn’t necessary!
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our product, all sales are final unless you receive the wrong item (color, length, or texture). If this happens, please contact us at support@tumbletextures.com and we’ll make it right.
Do you offer refresher services?
Not at this time. Please follow our care tips to keep your ponytail looking fresh.
Do you accept bulk orders?

When will my order ship?
We ship all in-stock orders the next business day. If there are any exceptions or delays, they will be clearly noted on the product page before you complete your purchase.
